This is made by modern man.

I just cannot ID it.
It may be off a skewer , just seems too big.
Maybe its some kind of bowhunter apparatus.

I have no idea what that is, but, I left a pair of gloves on a big rock at the end of Beaver....

My guess...
It has a wide slot, probably for a strap, a hole for some sort of pin, and made of aluminum to keep it light.
It doesn't appear to be a expensive part.

...a piece of a bow hunter's tree stand.
