Taconic-Hereford didnt get too much damage & never lost power Rolling Eyes

Lots more twigs down.

The race course was pretty clear yesterday. I havent seen Pond Gut yet. One larger tree down on the south end of TB2.

No guns for a few more weeks, ride on!

Be aware: On Timbuktu, someone has been widening the trail by cutting saplings. Theyve left them at heights that are hard to see and easy to hit. Others were left cut @ 3' tall. About a dozen I counted. I suspect its been done by an equestrian.

In Pond Gut, Fisher has a medium sawing mess at the bottom.

Outer Gut trail was clear.

New Tree stand.
Just west of the top of Bykhed Re-tour.

Looks to be on private property ...but faces the trail..
Use caution.

Yes who is the ass clown cutting the saplings? I would think a horse person wouldn't like sharpened spears at those heights. Horse's lower legs are a constant worry. They sure give me something to think about when hooking the trail.
Getaway has a couple trees down. A little mess on Cop. Pirate was clean.
Heard (and smelled) some quads around.
Also I have gotten a punchure flat three times last month right in the middle of getaway (around the white pine down fall "s" turns)
Curious if anyone else had any problems? Every see any old barbwire down there?
This is what Pearson thought about it...
"Yes the gods are out to get fools on rigid singlespeeds. Cursed are those with only one gear and no suspension!"

Was out riding tonight and found a tree down blocking bykhed at the top of the hill. It's definitely going to require a handsaw (which I didn't have with me). I'll get it if no one beats me to it.

Lets see,
Hunters perched on TimBuk2, Outer Gut, Beaver near top, near lower pond, Bykhead and Misnomer (Mustang)

Tree down on Get-a-way.

If anyone see the better half of my crankbrothers cage on Bykhead, please let me know. I thought I slipped it into my pocket... figures since I have a set of spindles sitting in my bike box. (you can leave on top of the sign in Tyrell lot)

Tree down on timbuk2, big oak down on Getaway (mostly the top branches covering trail).
Be warned, I broke a chain on outer gut and got massacred by Mosquitos!

Saw the same thing today on Getaway. Trails in good shape though.

Rode 909 yesterday. There's definitely a lot of standing water on the double track.

Mercury and Mustang have some muddy spots and the little creeks are full and flowing.

Timbuk2 (my first time on it) seemed to have a lot of overgrowth, very lush. I was attacked by a pricker bush, so be on the lookout Laughing

Definitely very buggy! Oh, and there was quite a swarm of bees in the parking log Shocked Just saying!

Timbuktu is just waiting for someone(s) to prune it...

Exclamation Pruning shears cost about $10 & fit easily into a pack. A 50' section might take 15 minutes to cut...its ok to leave the cuttings on the trail...Join the 10% who maintain trails and we'll all thank you!!

Will remember to take some next time I'm at 909! Didn't have a saw with me tho for Getaway (and some nice loppers). Cleared out quite a bit of downed branches and such though on most trails I rode.

Hacked away at branches of fallen oak at top of Getaway for 25 min. Cleared a path enough for hike-a-bike, but forgot my folding saw Neutral . Needs that to make it passable.

Very large tree down at the top of Cop where the trail runs adjacent to the logging. It's the trunk only, no branches .

Another stretch of the middle of TB2 cleared - also the exit/entrance of Beaver by the pond, no more overhanging jungle!
