Hey everyone,

Just wanted to see if there was some interest in a group ride that is meant to be social (easy pace)? Then followed by drinks and something to eat afterwards? I was thinking if there is interest, having a 3 hour ride from Jockey Hill, wheels down around 1 PM for a 3-4 hour ride, then retire to Keegans in Kingston afterwards. If there is some interest, perhaps looking at 3rd weeknd of November? Any other suggestions maybe? I thought it would give everyone the chance to catch up, and for the new folks to meet the rest of the club. I'll get back to you on a possible date if there's interest.

Glad to see some interest! I did a ride like this down on Long Island with the club CLIMB (Mike Viti!) and had a blast! Was a great way to spend black friday.

Just a friendly reminder, that is opening day/weekend for shooting deer with guns. Jockey Hill may not be an ideal location to hang out out in the woods.

Social ride alternatives to hunting lands~

Blue Mt, then Peekskill Brewing Co
Ferncliff, then Terrapin
Hyde Park Trails, then Hyde Park Brewery -although the National Park land ridiculously might have Farm Lane closed to bikes for the season!
Minnewaska, then a NP eatery
Po'k rail trail/Illinois Mt/ Franny Reese/ Rail Trail/ then River Station or etc
Caravan/carpool to Saratoga

how about Peekskill Brewing Co, then Blue Mt. that'll liven up the 'social aspect'

Hey all, had just thrown JH out there, and had forgotten about the hunting aspect (thanks for the reminder Kevin!)...but I think we have some great suggestions of where to ride. Glad to see a lot of interest! In the next few days, I'll throw a date out and see how it works for everyone, along with a riding venue. Or perhaps we could ride JH, and anyone that gets shot at drinks free?

Anyone have any preference for where we ride/drink/eat afterwards? I know I'm open to anything!

How does Saturday November 17 work for everyone? Does Lippman work for everyone, followed by drinks/food at the Gilded Otter in New Paltz afterwards? Roll out at 10:00 AM, finish up by maybe 1:30-2:00 PM? Depending on who shows up, we can have a beginner and advanced group. All are welcome!
