Whiteface Mountain wants to welcome the expertise of Fast Times Training with Mickey Denoncourt & James Ford to Whiteface Mountains downhill clinics July 3rd thru July 8th.

The 1st 3 day clinic will be on 7-3 ,7-4 & 7-5-07.
The 2nd clinic will be held on 7-6, 7-7, & 7-8-07.
These 3 day mini camps will include lodging, lift tickets and Fast times awesome curriculum.
The price will be $499.00 per person and each of the 2 clinics will be limited to 10 riders.
A sign up page will be available shortly on our web site.
A 50 % deposit will be required to guarantee your spot, and we expect these to fill up quickly.

Fast-Times Whiteface Clinic Itinerary
This Clinic is geared for the Advanced Sport rider looking to make the move up to expert, or the expert rider looking to make the jump to semi-pro, or riders who just want to get a lot of good geeky-fun in the middle of the week.
Day 1
Early Am, check in, introductions, coffee, pastries, q+a with Mickey, Jamie and other coaches. 1.5 hours, transition into setup.
Mid-morning- Bike check. Clinic leaders assess bike setup and make general changes. Additional one hour.
General riding period- Remaining time until lunch break. General familiarization with the mountain. Clinic leaders will observe and prepare feedback over the lunch period.
Lunch (2pm ish). One hour lunch period, we will work with riders over the lunch period to developed individualized programs for them to work on for the next day.
After lunch until closing- How to learn a race track. Inspection ride on the track we will be using for the training race. How to know what will change. Various theories for learning tracks and planning a line. This may devolve into simple practice.
After closing-
Presentation on creating a budget for racing. How to arrange your time and physical resources to make DH racing feasible.

Suspension tuning and setup- The who’s when’s and what’s off all the dials.

Day 2
Practice runs on training course
Practice race on 2 minute course
Lunch break- What happened?
Timing and Filming sections- what really does make you faster? Information to be reviewed after the lift closes.
Free-ride the rest of the day- Focus on body position, line choice, drifting and skid setups.
After the lift closes- Evaluate films and times, make strategies and recommendations for improvement.
Mental Skills for DH- What confidence is, Challenge/skills balance (aka Flow), pre race preparation to reduce stress.
Freetime etc..
Day 3
Early Am- Freeride the whole mountain w/feedback
Mid Morn- Timed runs on the same course as day 2, with video footage.
Lunch- footage review, q+a, Gain consensus on focus for the rest of the day
After lunch- Ride for the remainder of the day to dial in skills that have been learned over the course of the clinic, and for fun.
