Since I don't mountain bike much more than once a year (if that) anymore, I don't see myself racing much either, so I'm looking to send my Kona The King race bike to a better home.
As follows:
2005 Kona The King with Fox RP2 shock, 2.5" travel (I believe 17 or 18" frame)
2005 Mavic Crossmax Wheels (tubeless compatible)
Marzocchi Bomber (can't recall the model) 85-130mm adjustable fork
Race Face triple cranks (octalink)
Sram X.9 triggers (9 speed)
Sram X.0 rear dereailleur, long cage (9 speed)
Shimano LX Front derailleur
Thompson Elite setback post
Easton EA50 130mm stem
Easton Monkeylite carbon bars
Quad Dime XC Hydraulic disc brakes
Terry Fly saddle
I built it from the frame up and only raced it a couple of times, only ridden about 10 times in total. Everything is in good shape (it could use a good cleaning and drivetrain cleaning, but I just don't have the time for it right now.)
Looking to start at $2500, but will entertain offers. I will be moving in a few weeks, and I'll take it with if I need to, so not rushing to sell.
Email to [email protected] since I don't check PMs on here much. |

Your better off riding it.
You'll never get close to that price out of a seven year old bike when a comparable new bike, with new tech is the same price.
"Used a few times," still means used in most people's books. |

Well my hands are my livelihood, as are my arms, shoulders, knees, legs, etc etc. I can't afford to be crashing on rocks and roots in the woods and being unable to work. That little detail, along with my changing interests means I'm spending all my time on the road, which is much more pleasurable to me.
No hurry on sale. Once I move, I'll part it out on ebay and let people fight over it there. I'd consider letting it go for a decent offer, but I don't expect to get one at this point in the season. |

I get your point, but the worst I've ever been hurt on a bike is by a car. |
