Hi everyone, I'm a new member and just as new to riding. I just bought my first ever mtn bike. Have done some riding by the Res. looking to see if there is another newbie out there or if there is someone who would like to help someone eager to learn the ins and outs of riding and the local trails. Not ready (not even close) for jockey hill. My schedule is pretty flexible..

Hey Sunie - glad to hear you are starting to mtn bike. There are riders from all skill levels in the club. Our former board member Jill used to organize beginner rides and we are looking for another member to step up. Anyone want to put one together?

Also come out to the Minnewaska Bike Expo on May 21st from 10 AM to 3 PM. There are guided rides designed to get people into mtn biking. And free food! It's a good way to meet other riders. The club will be there representin'.

Thanks slave to bacon, I will defiantly put that date on my schedule I was doing some reading about it last night. I will keep watch for up coming rides and events that suit my level. Really looking forward to getting out there now that I've taken the training wheels off!

It might be too late, but a few of us are doing an easier ride at Jockey Hill tonight at about 5:45...
call me 845-331-0864 if you're interested!

I'd be happy to lead a Monday night beginner ride once or twice a month if there is demand.

Folks interested should simply pm me or post up on this thread to get a running list and preferred location.

Beginner=many stops, redoing, under 2 hrs/10miles

Jamie
