|
|
I get stumped sometimes on axles and dont want to screw this up.
Need Guidance ..........
I removed lock nut & washers.. From the non-drive side.
When I try and remove the cone, the axle just spins with it.
Do I need to keep the Lock Nut on and use opposite torque to loosen the cone?
or does this means my axle is bent .. ?
What am I screwing up?
I already gashed my knuckle open on the Rotor.....Ouch!
I am offering a Magic Hat h.I.P.A. to whoever can help me figure this out.
Thanks

I can't help you, but I thought it was quite clever to use zip ties with your bandage. |

Thanks Chris.
I was gonna hold the axle with vice grips , but i thought I must be doing something wrong if I had to do that.
Ill try with protected threads.
Zipties & Duct Tape beats a trip to Medicus anyday. |

Old BB's removed.
New Freewheel Body & BB's

(file photo)
[9] New 1/4" BB's & grease , Drive side & non-drive side.
Axle re-assembled, cassette put back on.
If you pass me walking thru the woods tomorrow , you know I screwed something up.
Thanks for your help.
