I never heard from anybody that wanted to ride fahnestock.

Gonna check out Ferncliff at 8:30..

I am not sure how much riding ferncliff has, but may head to H.P. or Jockey Hill after if its not enough.

I was at Ferncliff last week-after a dry week it was still muddy. Also, many trails have down trees and is pretty overgrown. Was not too awesome-the juggler at the fair was though.

Yeah Ferncliff needs a bit of TLC, but is not that bad.

Definitely a cool local spot for during Hunting Season.

<Guilty for not adding .02 to the ride plans, I did make it to F-Stock...would've called if I had a # Steve.

The NY/NJ Trail Conference is having bridge building work on the Doubletrack from Hubbard's Lodge. Its ongoing most weekends. If any mtb'ers want to help, they'd welcome you.

It is a very, very rare trail that is open to bikes in the 60,000+ acre Hudson Highlands!

On Monday I put together my first longer ride, took around 1:45 to 2 hours. I would know exactly but I lost my stop watch right at the end of my ride on bykhed. I think I lost it while biffing on one of those log rollers, kind of embarrassing to admit it that, but while approaching the log rather quickly I realized to late that the rock ramp was disassembled. After fixing the ramp I descended to the TSP lot to then realize that my watch was missing. I hope to go back some weeknight to look for it, but if you find it let me know and maybe we can meet up. Its black by the way.

Also could someone give me some idea of how long my ride was. I need to get one of those bike computers. Thanks!

If I understand correctly, you went into the gut on the Cop side and back up the snowmobile on the north side.

I'd say its about a 11ish mile loop.

Next time look for Fisher (just past getaway) going out of the gut.
It is built for bikes with nice switchbacks and a good climb.
