We just moved to Red Hook, and now it's time to start discovering good places to eat.
We've found Taste Budds, Lucy's Tacos and of course the Terrapin, but what holes-in-the-walls do you guys recommend in the area? |

Terrapin has a good beer selection as well.
A couple places. One just down the road in Tivoli is a Mexican restaurant called Santa Fe. Good stuff. Another one, if you like BBQ right in Red Hook is Max's Memphis BBQ Restaurant. Both places not really considered "holes in the wall" type places, but prices are reasonable, and the food is pretty good _________________ greg

I think Tastebuds is overpriced -I havent had a great coffee there yet though the muffins are good.
Also pricey, but usually worth it is GiGi's in R'beck. I had a dark Ommegang on tap last night that was tops.
China Rose in R'cliff is great. _________________ Pedal, b*tches!! |

Wild Hive Bakery / Cafe makes awesome food.
They specialize in Bakery stuff, but have wicked Breakfast and Lunch too.
Everything is made in house or from local farmers.
They are on Salt Point Turnpike, 1/2 mile East of the TSP.
I am addicted. |

I recommend my fav. thai restaurant.. (well the only one I've been to in the area). Wassana's - you'll have to cross the rip van winkle bridge and hit Main Street in Catskill (near bridge street - opposite HSBC).
But if you go to Santa Fe's mexican in Tivoli.. be sure to check out my fav. Irish bar in the area (just a block from Santa Fe's torwards the river, just at the edge of a cute little lane. Good Guiness, nice back patio, and games night on Wednesday... _________________ Import, looking to ride.
