They booked the brewery space for a private party of 60 unfortunately. It was a miscommunication.
They are still our "official" meeting spot though |

After the meeting, cross the street to the brew pub.
The Gilded Otter is definitely not Keegans, but they have some good fresh brews there!

I actually prefer the beer at Guilded Otter any day. Their Imperial Stout is just unreal as is their Imperial IPA and Barleywine (all seasonal). The Alt Beer is a true German style Alt, tastes just like the imported ones that are at Halftime. And their Blue Berry Ale in the summer is so good after hiking!

Keegan's is a long-time Fats sponsor...maybe Tom is working out a HHMTB sponsor deal with the Gilded Otter!

lol...I thought that would stir things up a bit!
Not that Keegans is bad, I am just a long time fan of the Otter. And we can't forget about the WMBA sponsor of Captain Lawrence! The best Double IPA this side of the Rockies!

I thought the Otter to be more hype than anything.
For instance they were calling chicken soup "hen" soup and charging for it like it was a different bird.

I feel the same goes with the beer......a bit pricey.

Looks like this is going off-topic...will just mention that the scheduling conflict at Keegan's came about with our three-month layoff from having general membership meetings there, and we fell off the calendar. When I went to confirm, they had booked another group in the Brewery and the Dartball League is still going on.
This does afford us the opportunity to try another venue (The Harvest Cafe in New Paltz, see Calendar for details and directions) which was a member(s) suggestion and will give some of our more southern and east of the Hudson members a more convenient meeting spot. We are on the calendar for future meetings at Keegan's but we can explore a rotation if this works out.
And Mark the Chef/Owner of the Harvest Cafe, a Mountain Biker is opening for us at 5:30pm on March 11 and will offer a limited food menu and promises some great beer specials.
