I took a trip to the dollar store at lunch yesterday. And bought
myself some battery operated light strings. They have ten lights
per string. Run on two c size batts....which are also a dollar for 4.
I strapped on four strings last night, and rode 909 for 2 hours...
and they all still worked. The store I went to was by Stop N Shop
in P oughkeepsie off of 44. _________________ Shut up and ride.! |

You thinking of joining the x-mas ride next week up here in Kingston, or is that for the ride in Poughkeepsie this week? _________________ greg

Actually it's just for fun. You know, Holiday Spirit.
We're having a big party at our house next Friday,
so to make plans for Saturday......gotta leave it open.
Maybe this weekend. Vassar trails, then city slicking.
Sounds like fun. _________________ Shut up and ride.! |

I know those lights you speak of. My girlfriend grabbed a few sets as well. Comparing to the 18 light LED's some of us have been grabbing @ Target:
Led's: 18 lights (bright!) per 7' string, $4.99/set, 2 AA batteries req'd
Dollar Store Lights: "Standard" small incandescent bulb (common tree light), 10 bulbs per 18" (short!) string, 2 "C" batteries (heavy; don't work well when wrapping in spokes!). **Just a Buck!! I did note a quality issue when I was checking them out, it seemed that a couple wires were pulling out from the bulb sockets. But, **Just a Buck!!
And remember..."Batteries Not Included"...
They can both serve a purpose, just be aware of what it is you are looking to do with them, and let your creative juices flow! Not to mention those Keegan Juices..... |
