I rode the fatbike Thursday night.
Mostly light snow cover or some bare ground.....some frost.

Most bare ground was frozen and fast...snow areas a little slower.

Also on Thursday at the 909 around 5:15pm the parking lot is usually full with a few different groups of Mtn bikers.

A pocket chainsaw is another great option. Smaller to store, can cut through thicker limbs than a folding saw, cuts just as fast, and uses more muscle groups so it's not as tiring.

Fat Friday After work

Mercury was sort of rideable, but it had plenty of the soft slushy snow that a Fatbike just sinks into. I saw a 29er and he had the same difficulty with the slush/snow.

Went to Ferncliff yesterday.
Three riders on Fat Bikes, me on a 29er with pretty wide tires.
They had no problem riding, I sank and plowed along until is was obvious the tires weren't enough. Embarassed ...
